Welcome to Wenasoga, Mississippi

Wenasoga is an unincorporated community in northern Alcorn County, Mississippi, United States. It is situated northwest of Corinth near the Tennessee border.

For the residents who live there it is heaven – it is home. Many of the residents have lived there all their lives, as did their parents and grandparents. Several families have been there for six and seven generations. It is a peaceful community where everyone knows their neighbors and it represents everything good about this country.

Unfortunately that peace and quiet is being threatened by the Alcorn County Board of Supervisors who want to place a landfill there. Community residents are fighting it, but as with every battle, it’s tough – but our resolve is strong. The Lord and the land give us strength. The future of our children give us hope. Join our fight.
